  Welcome to Yoga with Judy Scribner in Medford, MA, offering classes and workshops in the Greater Boston area and retreats in Western Massachusetts and the tropics. Private instruction, tailored to individual needs is also available. Having taught yoga and meditation since 1987 at universities, adult education centers, health clubs, corporations and in other settings, Judy currently offers classes at two West Medford locations and the Wellesley Council on Aging. She also facilitates Parenting and Stress Reduction classes at the Medford Family Network.

Small classes of between five and fifteen students ensure individual attention. Men and women of all ages, novices and long-time practitioners, are welcome. Judy is skilled at adapting postures for every level experience, sometimes using chairs, walls and other props for supporting beginners' poses. More advanced students have ample opportunity to refine and deepen their practice, and are sometimes encouraged to demonstrate their skill to others in class.


Classes are reasonably priced and may be attended on a drop-in basis or by the term. Space permitting, new students may join classes at any time during the term on a drop-in basis, or with full-term tuition prorated.


Judy teaches an eclectic style of hatha yoga and meditation informed by over forty years of training and practice, a degree in Human Development, ongoing study with other master teachers worldwide, and experience as a visual artist, an athlete, and a mother. She believes the practice of yoga is an opportunity to remember the truth we already know, while restoring healthy rhythms of body/mind and developing compassion for ourselves and others.
